The online introductory meeting hosted in February by the European Joint Action on CVD and Diabetes (JACARDI) with representatives of the 9 Action Grants of the eponymous call – including RESIL-Card – enabled to identify some initial points of convergence between the projects and was thus the starting point of a reflection aiming to establish a systematic framework for aligning and integrating activities across these projects in order to maximize impact and ensure cohesive action against non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Between May and September, RESIL-Card contributed to the JACARDI survey supporting the analysis of shared objectives and areas of collaboration between JACARDI and the Action Grants – focusing on key domains such as dissemination, sustainability, equity and implementation – with the objective to guide the design of targeted activities that would enhance each project’s contribution, maximize the collective impact, and prevent duplication of efforts.
On October 28th, a few RESIL-Card consortium members attended the ‘Synergies by Design’ meeting held in Rome. This in-person event was the next step of the process bringing together representatives of HaDEA, JACARDI and the Action Grants for a hands-on session focused on advancing and refining synergetic activities between the projects. This collaborative effort, and subsequent discussions with the various WPs, resulted in a comprehensive framework for implementing these activities in the coming months and years (‘Action Plan on Synergies’), reinforcing the shared commitment to enhancing public health through integrated cross-project collaboration.
