With 2026 as the year for full dissemination of the RESIL-Card resilience assessment tool in the European countries, the project consortium is currently laying the foundations for an effective communication strategy and proactively engaging with key partners across Europe to increase the visibility and impact of the project.

As part of the communication strategy, direct outreach to targeted audiences is key to raising awareness of the project and the challenge it addresses.
Last month, Italian consortium partner GISE took the opportunity of the JIM-GISE Congress (February 19-22) to raise the profile of RESIL-Card with a presentation by Dr Saia and press releases on the latest developments in the project.
As cardiovascular professionals are expected to be the main users of the tool, the RESIL-Card project will also be highlighted during the next edition of the EuroPCR course in Paris next May (20-23). This event, attended by many European cardiovascular professionals, is an important opportunity for RESIL-Card to share its progress and lay the groundwork for widespread adoption of the tool next year.
The project will have a dedicated session in the scientific programme (May 20, 3:00-4:00pm), be the subject of an interview hosted in the PCR studio and also be featured in several communication materials throughout the week.
Similarly, the Consortium intends to present the project at the forthcoming annual congresses of the national cardiology societies in the consortium countries – Spain, Catalonia, Italy, the Netherlands and Ireland – as well as at events organised by European organisations representing the other target stakeholders involved in the resilience assessment tool. In that respect, an abstract was submitted earlier this month for the 48th World Hospital Congress organised by the International Hospital Federation (IHF) in November (10-13) and attended by global healthcare leaders and executives.
The endorsement of the project by key European public health and cardiovascular care organisations is another approach to increase the legitimacy of the project and ensure a sustainable impact on public health at large.
Recently, RESIL-Card has gained the support of both the Catalan Society of Cardiology and the European Public Health Association (EUPHA).
The former is the professional organisation dedicated to advancing the field of cardiology in Catalonia, focusing on promoting research, education, and collaboration among cardiovascular professionals in the region and contributing to the overall advancement of cardiology both locally and internationally.

The latter is a scientific organisation that promotes public health across Europe through research, education, and policy advocacy. Bringing together national public health associations, institutions, and professionals from 47 countries, its mission is to strengthen public health capacity, advocate for evidence-based policies, and promote collaboration among health professionals in Europe.
Both organisations recognised the importance of the project’s mission to ensure resilient, patient-centred health systems capable of sustaining lifesaving care in times of crisis and reducing inequalities in access to care. Furthermore, the objective of the RESIL-Card project resonates with these organisations as it is fully aligned with their own objectives.
The RESIL-Card Consortium is grateful to both organisations for their support and hope that these will be the first of many more.
