The RESIL-Card project is slowly nearing the end of its first year. Let us look back at the achievements towards developing the resilience assessment tool and the advocacy actions to raise awareness among the cardiovascular community.

A large-scale survey was conducted among the European cardiovascular community by the Consortium in May-June to assess the nature and magnitude of disruptions of the care pathways during the COVID pandemic. The results will be used as a baseline to run the focus groups, the next task of the project WP1.

Building on the results from the literature review and the survey, running focus groups with cardiovascular care stakeholders is the next, and a key, step towards shaping the first version of the resilience assessment tool.

Proactively communicating to raise awareness about the project and to set the ground for future dissemination of the results, i.e. the resilience assessment tool, is critical. Over the past months, a few opportunities were seized to reach out to European cardiovascular healthcare professionals.

Of the four partners making up the RESIL-Card Consortium, the Amsterdam UMC Team is leading the first work package leveraging their experience and expertise in public health research. What is their role? What do they bring to the project?
